In this first episode, director and producer Rachel discusses the history of the Filipino Manong generation and the Filipino labor movement amongst farmers and cannery workers while cooking Filipino menudo. We hear from Vivian Bejarin, the daughter of a manong who learned of her father's experiences through his diary. Rachel also takes a trip to Delano Manongs Park in San Jose, CA to meet with Daniel Lazo, an organizer with LEAD Filipino.

Rachel interviews Manang Estella Habal and Manang Jeanette Lazam, who recount their time as tenant activists at the International Hotel, or I-Hotel in the former Manilatown of San Francisco. Rachel cooks Pancit Bihon, a favorite of Manang Jeanette's. The I-Hotel Struggle was a united effort to save a low income senior housing building that housed Filipino manongs.

In this episode, we hear from Filipino activists and punks Rupert Estanislao from AninoKo and Aklasan Records, Romeo Reyes-Pagdilao and Nilo Van Tassel from Silakbo, and Andrew Paguio as they describe and the importance of cultural work in people's movements. Rachel cooks a vegan tofu adobo while Dir. of Photography Scott shares his reflections.

In this fourth and final episode, Rachel interviews Jorge Octaviano and Estella Habal, two Filipinos living in San Francisco when Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. declared Martial Law in the Philippines. Rachel cooks Filipino spaghetti and reflects on the role of U.S. imperialism in her family's migration story, and looks to the future of activism amongst Filipino Americans.
