Silog Wraps - 2 ways

If there’s anything I love, it’s a meal that I can eat with one hand. I tried the TikTok folding wrap technique, but with spamsilog. I did it two ways, first with a nori sheet and then with a tortilla. Try this for a quick on the go breakfast!

Ingredients

Nori Wrap:

  • Nori Sheet

  • Kewpie Mayo

  • 1 egg

  • Spam

  • Oil, for frying

  • Leftover rice

  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 T soy sauce

Tortilla Wrap:

  • Tortilla

  • Tomato, sliced

  • 1 egg, fried

  • Spam

  • Oil, for frying

  • Leftover rice

  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 T soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Slice the spam into the thickness of your choosing.

  2. In a nonstick pan, fry spam slices until lightly browned on the outside.

  3. Add 1 T oil to the pan over medium. Once the pan is heated, add garlic cloves. Heat on medium/medium low until garlic is fragrant and sticks together.

  4. Add the leftover rice and toss until coated in garlic and oil.

  5. Add soy sauce, and mix together.

  6. Add a healthy amount of oil to the pan and fry an egg sunnyside up!

  7. For nori wrap: Cut the nori in the middle until you reach the very center of the sheet. In the lower left quadrant, add rice. In the upper left quadrant (different from video), add the egg. In the upper right quadrant, add spam. In the lower right quadrant, add kewpie mayo. Fold and eat right away!

  8. For tortilla wrap: Cut the tortilla in the middle until you reach the very center (you can fold it in half two times for guidance!). In the lower left quadrant, add rice. In the upper left quadrant (different from video), add the egg. In the upper right quadrant, add spam. In the lower right quadrant, add sliced tomato. Fold and eat right away!
